At a news conference Tuesday morning (01 Feb 22), DeSantis slammed the decision to revoke the drug authorizations, saying the FDA was “pulling the rug out from under people” who were set to receive the treatments. “It’s really a reckless decision to be able to take this option away from patients when we’ve had the sites set up, we’ve had this distributed to different medical groups or hospitals,” DeSantis said. “Even if with omicron it’s half as effective or even 25% as effective, that’s better than nothing for people.“
For those unfamiliar with the history of the Robber Barons (Carnegie, Rockefeller and others) who used philanthropy to seize control of the medical establishment, An Anecdotal Tale of Laetrile is a good primer. And here is my campaign essay on the issue of ending medical tyranny, as well as quality in healthcare.
If you have been following the politicization of healthcare, and in particular monoclonal antibodies, Florida Governor Ron DeSantis is righteously outraged at the malevolent antics of the Biden Administration. But there’s only so much he, or any State, can do to bypass the medical establishment when the federal government literally and unconstitutionally controls the means of distribution.
If not for these federal agencies and edicts, every State would be wholly free to determine the best health policies for its citizens. Fifty States acting as independent laboratories of ideas and policies, whereby the best lead by example. It is worth noting that the States with the worst outcomes often claim to be following the science of the AMA, CDC, FDA etc, while dismissing the counterclaims of the real experts, doctors and nurses with years of real-world clinical experience.
It is one thing for the federal government to pool the resources of the several States to conduct medical research and make recommendations for States to either adopt or reject, but it is another thing to grant the same agencies the power of the purse to regulate and brutally enforce their one size fits all solutions. Mao wasn’t kidding when he infamously stated, “Political power grows out of the barrel of a gun“. Is it any surprise that most agencies now have their own SWAT teams for conduct raids on their enemies? From the Heritage Foundation, Crime and Justice commentary:
But that begs the question of why a federal agency overseeing education policy should have an IG who can send agents armed with guns into Americans’ homes. Or why the department has SWAT-style teams of agents to begin with.
In yet another Orwellian development, the Education Department IG provides an anonymous tip line encouraging Americans to inform on each other. This is reminiscent of the Obama White House asking Americans in 2010 to report on friends and neighbors who said anything “fishy” about Obamacare in private conversations.
The Federal Law Enforcement Training Center says that it trains agents for “over 80 federal agencies.” These include the Secret Service, Bureau of Prisons, and similar agencies that one would expect.
But the list includes dozens of federal agencies with no business training and fielding armed officers. Who wants early-morning armed break-ins by the Department of Agriculture, Railroad Retirement Board, Bureau of Land Management, Tennessee Valley Authority, Office of Personnel Management, and U.S. Fish and Wildlife Service?
When elected, I will welcome all of these agencies to justify their actions in hearings for We the People; before we abolish their charters and or powers, for the simple reason most agencies are unconstitutional and are in direct violation of the 9th and 10th Amendments.
So how did the medical establishment become a thing if it is not one of the unenumerated powers in the Constitution? It’s founding can be traced back to the Organic Act of 1871, Section 26 – Board of Health, Appointment, Powers and Duties.
In classic big government fashion, agencies start out small and innocuous, but with every succeeding crisis, they grow and accumulate powers. By 1917, the establishment had grown sufficiently that they were testing vaccines on Army recruits going through boot camp at Fort Riley before shipping off to Europe, and then came the “Spanish Flu” the following year.
By the way, concerning CRT, transgender restrooms/sports etc in schools, we see the same pattern of encroachment by the department of Education stemming from the same 1871 document where maintaining “… a system of free schools for the education of youth” is found in Section 23.
As your Senate representative to DC, we will dismantle the unconstitutional federal agencies and return the unenumerated powers back to the States.
